One South Dearborn – Chicago

One of the largest thick glass murals in the world. Both murals, part of this prestigious Chicago building’s signature, are more than 40 feet long by 18 feet wide. The special anchoring system used to hold the walls up is nearly invisible, leaving all the attention to the purity of the glass. Each piece measures 3 feet by 10 feet and weighs 600 pounds.

Very unusual for ThinkGlass: after many weeks of testing with lighting, we put the texture on the opposite side, behind! With thick glass and deep textures, it is magical to be able to feel the depth of the glass and it makes for a more interesting light effect.

Domtar Head Office – Montreal

This art piece, located in the Domtar’s lobby, became the headquarters’ signature. With his special technique, our artist Mailhot can make continuous movements, from one panel to the next, without breaking the fluidity. The art piece stands out on 30 feet long and 11 feet high. A restaurant is hidden behind.

Palais des Congrès - Montreal

Two of the largest glass murals in the world can be found at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal (Montreal's Congress Center). The indoor mural is made of 70 panels with pixelated images of people and covers over 500 feet in length. With a limited budget and many unique molds to create for the one project, our technical team and our production line was put to the test.

Caisse Populaire Banque – Valleyfield

Somewhat unusual for a bank to invest in its design. The end result is a success so is the return on investment! Who said that melamine and a cold decor were suited for a bank! Why not put clients in a rich surrounding? Counters, dividers, murals, signage; the designer found a way to create a unique atmosphere.
