  • A friend recently told me that it was very challenging to get grease out of their glass tiles (on the wall vs a countertop). Any truth to this?

  • Hi Sharon,

Glass is the easiest material to clean. A little bit of water with any cleaner and the grease goes away. It is as easy to clean as any glass dishes you might have in your kitchen.

ThinkGlass countertops and backsplash are made of 100% solid pieces of glass cut to the dimension you need. We do not sell glass tiles, which means there is no need to use grout, which sometimes could be a little difficult to clean. Could it be the challenge your friend might be talking about?

  • Where can you see and buy glass counter tops in the 92264 area? Does anyone sell a portion of a slab, for smaller counters, like in a bathroom? Who fabricates the counter top?

  • Hi Karen,

  • how impact resistant is this product in comparison to the ones mentioned? With the other products you can sand or polish the scratches out with polishing tools or sandpaper. Once your product has a scratch(white cap) how you repair this?

  • Glass is very strong, stronger than granite. The fact that glass countertops are made out of solid glass with no layers or veins is important. Granite contains veins and most stones contain natural fissures that make it “brittle”. Any damage you could do to your glass countertop you would do the same to any mineral based countertops such as granite, marble or quartz. If a scratch occurs, glass can be sanded and polished. After 10-15 years you could have your countertops polished back to the day you received them very easily. Glass is heat resistant, needs no maintenance and will never stain. We have one customer who had her countertops for 5 years, sold her house and ordered new ones for her new house. She said the countertops were in perfect condition even if the whole family (with two young kids) used the kitchen every day. We sell to bars that receive hundreds of people a day, so the usage of a big family is nothing compared to a bar.

  • Where does crystalized glass, glassos fit into these comparisons? If something drops on the counter will it chip and can it be repaired?

  • I really like what you guys tend to be up too. This kind of clever work and coverage! Keep up the fantastic works guys I’ve included you guys to my blogroll.

  • Being a better interior designer is the key :]

  • Our glass is fused into one block of glass. There is no layers, cracks or “parts”. It is similar to granite for what can break it. The main difference is that because there is no layers (like in natural stones) the chipping effect is unlikely. Also, our glass will not be affected by a hot pot placed on it, will not be stain and requires no maintenance.
